BabagaNewz Teacher Training Workshops offer exciting ideas to enhance the classroom curriculum by educating teachers and administrators on practical applications of the many aspects connected to the project: how to apply the wide-ranging content of BabagaNewz, how to incorporate Jewish values into their classroom curriculum, and how to foster their students’ Jewish identity within a secular world.

Workshops are presented by dynamic and professional educators.

BabagaNewz, an innovative educational project initiated and funded by The AVI CHAI Foundation and published in partnership with Jewish Family and Life! is devoted to providing quality educational resources to help administrators and teachers make Jewish values an integral part of Jewish education. BabagaNewz has developed Teacher Training Workshops, devoted to educating administrators and teachers on how to incorporate the BabagaNewz magazine, teachers’ guide and web site into their classroom curriculum.

BabagaNewz Workshops are designed to improve administrators’ and classroom teachers’ ability to incorporate Jewish values into the curriculum by effectively using and integrating the different components of the BabagaNewz project. Workshops are presented by dynamic, professional educators who present creative approaches to using the content of BabagaNewz as a springboard for Jewish learning and to think more deeply about the issues that shape your students’ lives and the Jewish world. Using a step-by-step instructional model, workshops teach skills and introduce resources to make Jewish values relevant to your students and thereby reinforce their sense of Jewish identity.

BabagaNewz workshops offer participants a walk-through and model lessons on the various features of the magazine and include a detailed explanation of the purpose of the content within a classroom setting. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to use the BabagaNewz website to do further research and download materials for classroom instruction as well as offer students an interactive forum to further discuss topics and share opinions with students all over the world.
